Author / Speaker / High Stress Expert

Matt is a U.S.-based author, speaker, and instructor specializing in a counterintuitive approach to stress management, focusing on leveraging the key pathways of stress to optimize health and performance. His interest in stress management began after experiencing domestic violence in his childhood, which sparked a journey toward understanding and combating stress. Matt became a martial arts school owner and a Level 3 Wim Hof Method trainer, working with diverse groups and companies to enhance performance and well-being. Over the past 15 years, he has taught over 10,000 people and trained 600+ instructors across 40 countries in stress management techniques. He has also toured internationally with Wim Hof, sharing insights on managing stress.


Matt’s accomplishments include summiting Mt. Kilimanjaro in under 34 hours in 2019, completing an unacclimatized ascent with advanced oxygen monitoring. He is the author of Stronger Through Stress, which hit #1 on Amazon’s hot new releases in stress management in 2024, and is currently working on a book titled

The Stress Paradox. He has hosted corporate wellness programs for companies like Amazon, Microsoft, and Urban Outfitters, and has been a speaker at prestigious events such as HPLT, YPO, and EO. Additionally, Matt has worked with military, law enforcement, first responders, and athletes to enhance their performance and safety through stress management. He is also a black sash in the Tsun Jo Martial Arts System and leads global workshops, retreats, and training programs.
